Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 September 2026

The short version: BoredPuP does not ask for, store, or sell your personal information. What little data exists lives in your own browser. This page explains the exceptions - games and advertisers we don't control - in plain language.

1. What we collect

The only information stored by BoredPuP itself is kept in your browser's localStorage, never on a server:

  • Favorites - the list of games you've saved with the ♡ heart button.
  • Recently played - the last games you opened, so we can show a "continue playing" row.
  • Catalog cache - a copy of the game catalog so pages load faster on repeat visits.

You can clear all of this at any time through your browser's "site data" or "local storage" settings. We have no account system, no email addresses, and no way to receive this data from you.

2. Server logs and analytics

Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps routine server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability. We do not run our own analytics trackers, and we do not create personal profiles.

3. Games are third-party content

When you press play, the game you're playing lives on the developer's servers, not ours. The game itself may store data (such as your high score) or contact its own services. We don't control that and encourage you to treat embedded games like any other third-party website.

4. Advertising

Free games on this site may include advertising operated by the game developers' partners. These ad networks may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure, and limit how often ads appear. They are separate data controllers covered by their own policies, not by this one.

5. Children's privacy

BoredPuP is a general-audience site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and - because we have no accounts - we have no tool for children to sign up. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us through an error or bug, contact us and we'll remove it.

6. Do Not Track

We respect your browser's "Do Not Track" signal. Because we don't run cross-site tracking, there is nothing to disable beyond what this policy describes.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and change the date above. Material changes are announced on the site.
